We are a Salt Lake City based product design studio made up of designers, engineers, and starry-eyed dreamers who live to build. From speakers to speedlights, from mattresses to automated machinery, the people at Swarm thrive on turning ideas into real, working products — no matter how complex.

Product Metamorphosis

To get to the next level, sometimes it takes a spark from an outside source — an independent team of designers who see the product with fresh eyes. By combining our experience with curiosity and visionary thinking; we create products that balance the wisdom of the old with the vision of the new. Swarm takes a product, technology, or brand image apart from the inside and then partners with our clients to build a new and better version.

By working with clients in many different industries - audio, consumer electronics , outdoor gear, industrial automation and more, we benefit from a natural cross pollination of ideas. As a team that comes from diverse backgrounds we leverage differences to create the most interesting solutions to difficult problems.

SImple is Hard

Too often ‘simple’ solutions are dismissed; it seems the more complex or advanced the better. But we propose the opposite: the simpler the solution, the better it often is for the end user, and the more challenging and difficult the design becomes. We churn iterations until the design is right and put in the effort required to find the simple solutions.

Comprehensive Results

We consider every step and person the product will touch along the way. From raw material, to manufacturing, packaging, sales and ultimately the end user. We create solutions for our customers (and their customers), before they know they have a problem.
