Great things are often accomplished through a team of great people. SnapAV, a stellar manufacturer and global distributor of custom audio and visual products, sought Swarm’s help to develop a two-piece design for its Signature speaker. While we are steeped in experience developing tool-free installation technology; this project required a unique approach. We adapted our patented clamping system to offer fast and secure mounting for SnapAV’s two-piece speaker design.
The new PushLock system provides a quick and secure install of the speaker frame with the push of a button –– which is installed directly to the ceiling or wall. Four separate clamps (or 6 for in wall speakers) provide multiple points of contact to evenly distribute the speaker’s weight in the drywall. The PushLock system can also be tightened with a Phillips screwdriver to provide extra clamping power when needed.
Once the speaker frame is installed in the drywall, the speaker driver is installed with the flick of a 4 levers providing one of the easiest two-piece speaker installs on the market. It’s a tool-less solution that offers premium sound without the hassle of traditional installation.
