Purtrek

Purtrek is the first trekking pole with an integrated water filter. Swarm provided and managed a full service offering with concept development, refinement and visualization, engineering and industrial design, and production sourcing.

We wanted this product to stand out among the sea of trekking poles. Focusing on the emotional idea of its function and environment, we narrowed on a form and aesthetic to resonate with hiking and water management on the go. Each stage of development went through detail-oriented iteration and testing to ensure a quality product and quality user experience.

The main focus was to ensure we could satisfy the proper filter, and its function, while maintaining the weight, strength, and performance as any other trekking pole.
